Fresh Asparagus is especially low in sodium and fat content. In addition it
contains significant amount of potassium(273 mg/100 gm raw Asparagus) making it an
appropriate vegetable intake. Asparagus also provides the useful amount of dietary fiber.
White Asparagus (Which has been balanced by mounding dirt around the growing spears) has
only about 1/10 of the Vitamin A vis-a-vis the green asparagus.
